The contributions of Latinos and Hispanics in Arizona cannot be understated. The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce released its yearly #DATOSAZ report this week with key figures that highlight not only the positive impact we have on the state's economy, but also the opportunity available in our state.
According to DATOS, Hispanics contribute $72 billion in purchasing power in AZ and Arizona's immigrant households contribute more than $11 billion in federal and state taxes. In Phoenix, 6% of all small businesses are Latina-owned, in Tucson, that number is doubled.
ALMA thanks the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for providing this important data, because information is power and a catalyst for change.
