2025 Holiday Mixer

This past Friday, December 5, dozens of our closest friends and colleagues gathered at the Univision Arizona studios for ALMA's annual holiday mixer. The evening was filled with incredible food and music and a lot of heart, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. During the event, we introduced the recipients of the ALMA fall scholarship. These were: Joana Cano, Isabella Barron, Barbara Rivero, Isabelle Marceles and Mario Sosa. These students attend Arizona colleges and universities, working towards a degree in journalism. Each received $1,000. Since 2003, ALMA has awarded $95,000 in scholarships to students and media professionals to support them in their media journey.

Those who joined participated in a silent auction with great prizes, including game tickets to the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals. We also held a raffle for amazing prizes like Mana and Ricardo Arjona concert tickets, family four packs to the Phoenix Zoo Lights, and 10 seats at the ALMA table for the ASU Cronkite Award for Excellence luncheon on February 24, 2026. At the Cronkite Luncheon, Maria Elena Salinas and Jorge Ramos will be recognized.

We thank everyone who joined us, became a new member or renewed their membership, and graciously made a donation to ALMA. Your support helps us continue with our mission to uplift Latino media voices in Arizona.
