Juan Villa celebrates 20 years in Spanish Media! Juan Villa has worked 20 years in the Spanish Media in Arizona. He is currently the news director of KTVW Univision Arizona in Phoenix. Juan worked for 8 years in Telemundo Arizona as an Executive News Producer, Managing Editor and Community Relations Manager. Before joining KTAZ, Villa worked for La Voz, Phoenix’s Spanish language newspaper, as a General Assignment Reporter and Chief of Information. From 1996-2000, he worked as a News Announcer and reporter for Radio Unica and “La Super X” KPHX. Juan attended ASU where he received his BA in Broadcast Journalism from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. He also obtained his M.A. in Spanish Literature from ASU. He is being a member of ALMA for the past 16 years. He is the author of the book:Coyotes en el cine fronterizo (2011) published by the Hispanic Institute of Social Issues.
